Roger Ebert's No. 1 choice as a replacement critic for late partner Gene Siskel is believed to be fellow Chicago Sun-Times columnist Richard Roeper, according to The Boston Herald. Roeper, who's known Ebert for about 10 years, has served as guest co-host on Ebert and the Movies several times in the past few weeks. An announcement on who will get the coveted co-host seat is believed to be imminent.
