The infamous legend of Dustin Diamond continues to grow. Diamond, best known for playing the lovable nerd Screech in the 1990s series Saved by the Bell, was arrested early Friday morning for stabbing another man in a Wisconsin bar, ABC News reports.

Diamond, 37, was arrested for second-degree recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

Officers were called to Port Washington's Grand Ave. Saloon at around 11:15 p.m. on Thursday night after a man stabbed another man and left the bar. Diamond was arrested early Friday morning, where police found a switchblade in the vehicle he was in. Diamond's girlfriend, who was driving the vehicle, was also arrested.

In Diamond's recount of the incident of the bar, "there was a group of intoxicated people being rude and insulting." After Diamond's girlfriend got into it with another female patron and ended up bleeding, Diamond intervened, though he claims he never meant to intentionally stab the man. The victim suffered non-life-threatening wounds near his armpit, and police found "a significant amount of blood" at the bar.

Diamond has not yet entered a plea, but if convicted of recklessly endangering safety, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Since appearing on Saved by the Bell and its spin-offs, Diamond has been sued for unpaid taxes, starred in his own sex tape (though he claims a stunt double did most of the "work"), appeared on several celebrity reality shows and produced a controversial unauthorized Saved by the Bell tell-all that was slammed by his former co-stars.
