DuckTales Is Coming Back

We are not complaining

Another day, another reboot. But you won't hear us complaining about this one. Disney XD is bringing back DuckTales, E! Online reports.

"DuckTales has a special place in Disney's TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks' comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults," Marc Buhaj, senior vice president of programming and the general manager of Disney XD, said in a statement. "Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation."

Oscars fashion hits and misses

In addition to Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie, the new DuckTales will also feature the returns of Duckworth, Webbigail Vanderquack, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuak, Flinheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys, Mrs. Beakley and yes, Donald Duck.

The original DuckTales ran for 100 episodes from 1987-1990. The Disney XD reboot will launch in 2017. It has not yet been announced whether the relaunch will be done in hand-drawn animation like the original or in CG. Either way, this news has us singing "Woo-oo!
