Police are investigating a possible bar fight between Drake and Chris Brown Wednesday night.

The incident, which TMZ first reported, took place at W.i.P. nightclub in New York City and left five people injured. Drake's rep said in a statement to The Associated Press Thursday that the singer was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. "He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property," the statement read.

The fight started in the VIP section after Drake began pointing and yelling at the "Run It" singer, according to TMZ. The two men's entourages soon began shoving each other when someone threw a bottle, escalating the shoving match to a full-on brawl. During the melee, a variety of things were broken, including tables and mirrors, but the club wasn't the only thing to suffer damage that night. Brown tweeted a photo of a gash on his chin supposedly sustained during the fight.

"Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!" he wrote. The tweet has since been deleted, but Brown's chin has gotten a Twitter account all its own now!

According to various reports, the rapper and singer were fighting over Brown's ex-girlfriend Rihanna, whom Drake is also rumored to have briefly dated.
