Dust off your fancypants, DowntonAbbey fans. The British series' fifth season has a Stateside premiere date.

At the Television Critics Association fall previews on Tuesday, PBS boss Paula Kerger announced that the next season of the award-winning drama would premiere in America on Sunday, Jan. 4  on Masterpiece. Naturally, questions of why PBS wouldn't air the series closer to its ITV air dates in England arose. Kerger simply pointed to the ratings in America, which are up 14 percent over the last year.

'90s shows that need to make a comeback

PBS also announced Monday that it will air the fourth season of Call the Midwife. The series, about nuns and midwives in 1950s London, will return March 29.

Are you excited to have Downton Abbey back? What do you hope to see this coming season?
