According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ellen DeGeneres has decided against taping her talk show in New York next week in light of the Writers Guild's letter angrily disinviting her. In response, both her union and her production company reminded the poison-pen wielders that she was contractually obligated to return to work, so they can just simmah down now. (Since I'm kinda looking forward to that special winter edition of Big Brother, I assume I'll soon be getting some hate mail from the WGA, too.) - Ben Katner
