Disney Moves JONAS to Sunday

JONAS

The Jonas Brothers will now Monkee around on a different night.

Disney Channel has moved JONAS — which critics have compared to 1960s musical series The Monkees — from its Saturday night time slot to Sunday, according to the New York's Daily News.

The show, which stars Nick, Joe, Kevin and even bonus Jonas Frankie, was performing fairly well in the ratings against competitor Nickelodeon's Saturday lineup, but the show never caught fire like other Jonas-fronted projects. Disney will now air movies on Saturday night. Additionally, the network will also run repeats of JONAS in other time slots all summer to give viewers the chance to see the show.

The series focuses on the life of the Lucas Brothers who play in a band named — you guessed it — Jonas.
