"Teri does not have swine flu, nor did she at any time suspect that she did," Brad Cafarelli said. "She is sick and has laryngitis."
Hatcher's illness won't affect the ABC series' shooting schedule. "[She] has already finished her work for the week and is not scheduled to work again until next week," Cafarelli said.
Scientists at the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that up to 5.7 million Americans were infected with swine flu from mid-April through July 23. The figures, reported Thursday, are the CDC's most specific calculation about the pandemic to date.
