Deport Justin Bieber Petition Obtains More Than 100,000 Signatures

An online petition urging the President to deport Justin Bieber back to his native Canada and revoke his green card now must receive a response from the White House.

The White House must respond to petitions once they have amassed 100,000 signatures. As of Wednesday afternoon, the petition had more than 120,000 signatures. The petition was created on Jan. 23 — the same day Bieber was arrested and jailed in Miami on drag racing and DUI charges.

"We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked," the petition reads. "He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations [sic] youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."

It is unknown when the White House will choose to respond to the petition. There is no deadline for the President, and some have had to wait years before receiving a reply. Despite Bieber's recent run-in with the law, it is highly unlikely that the President will actually make the pop singer move back up north.
