Demi Lovato: I Have a Half-Sister I've Never Known

As a singer, actress and judge on The X Factor, Demi Lovato has countless fans around the world. But there was one who was always too shy to reach out to the star: her half-sister, whom Lovato said she found out about less than a year ago.

"I have an older sister I've never known my whole life, who's in her 30s," Lovato, 20, told radio station WBLI, according to People. "She's my half-sister, but I talked to her for the very first time in my life around when I turned 20. ... So, I actually have three sisters."

The "Heart Attack" singer didn't specify whether her half-sister is from her mom or dad's side, but she did say that she asked her newfound sibling why she had never reached out to her.

"She said, 'Well, I never wanted you to think I wanted anything from you. So I've just been kind of waiting to see if you wanted a relationship,'" Lovato said. "I thought that was so incredible."
