Delta Burke checked herself into a psychiatric hospital last week, she told TMZ, to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and hoarding.
In an interview, the former
Designing Women star, 51, discusses her hoarding condition, a disorder in which individuals collect items to an unhealthy extent. While Burke says that the illness has "ruined" her life, she believes that she'll be able to overcome it, ostensibly starting with her hospital treatment.
