Bent star David Walton will star opposite JoAnna Garcia in CBS' untitled comedy from Greg Berlanti and Greg Malins, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

As first reported by Deadline, Walton replaces Bryan Greenberg, who exited the project Wednesday after the pilot's table read. Walton will play Nick, a notorious womanizer who realizes after surviving a major health scare that his best friend of 15 years, Wendy (Garcia), is "the one." However, the odds are stacked against them. Wendy is engaged to a guy Nick likes. Not only that, but she and Nick own a business together and their one attempt at dating in college was a mess.

The Complete Pilot Report: CBS has Greg Berlanti, Louis C.K. and Bridesmaids stars!

The comedy is in second position to NBC's Bent, which means Walton would have to stick with Bent if it gets renewed. It ended its six-episode first season on Wednesday to dismal ratings (2.03 million viewers, a 0.7 rating in the adults ages 18 to 49 demographic). Walton also played a womanizer on that comedy, opposite uptight lawyer Alex (Amanda Peet).

Walton previously starred in the short-lived series Perfect Couples, 100 Questions and Quarterlife.
