Showtime is moving forward with its revival of Twin Peaks, but creator David Lynch won't be involved with the project.
Lynch's office sent a letter to the Twin Peaks Festival confirming that he had dropped out of the reboot over a financial dispute.

"After one year and four months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done," Lynch wrote, according to a post on the festival's Facebook page. "I love the world of Twin Peaks and wish things could have worked out differently."

In March, Lynch hinted that there were conflicts over the revival and said it was "up in the air."
It remains to be seen whether Kyle MacLachlan and the rest of the cast will remain on board now that Lynch has quit the project.
