The opening that started it all: the beginning of the pilot for Kung Fu, in which Kwai Chang Caine (Carradine) remembers his early days in the Shaolin temple. Though best known for martial arts roles, Carradine more than held his own in dramatic films, including Bound for Glory, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of folk singer Woody Guthrie:
