Dancing with the Stars revealed its Season 21 celebs Wednesday morning on Good Morning America, and for the first time ever, the cast includes someone who was an unknown civilian just two weeks ago.

Alek Skarlatos, an Oregon National Guardsman who helped to subdue a gunman on a train from Amsterdam to Paris on Aug. 21, will participate this season, partnered with Lindsay Arnold.

"He's a hero. There's no two ways about it," executive producer Rob Wade tells TVGuide.com.

Other cast members include Tamar Braxton, dancing with last season's champ Val Chmerkovskiy; Gary Busey, partnered with Anna Trebunskaya; and Kim Zolciak Biermann, who will team up with Tony Dovolani.

Previously-revealed cast members Paula Deen, Bindi Irwin and Nick Carter will dance with Louis van Amstel, Derek Hough and Sharna Burgess, respectively.
