Dan Aykroyd has confirmed the rumors that he will indeed make a cameo in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.
The actor tweeted: "On GB set shooting my scene with funny beautiful Kristen Wiig Lady GB'S are adorable, hilarious and badass Exhilarating! #ghostbusters." Aykroyd has since deleted the tweet, but Entertainment Weekly confirmed his involvement with the film.
There's no official word on whether or not Aykroyd will reprise his role as Raymond Stantz or play a new character. But according toIndie Revolver, Aykroyd will make a cameo as a cabbie who deniesKristen Wiig's character a ride. Aykroyd allegedly told Wiig, "I ain't afraid of no ghosts!" to which the actress responds along the lines of, "That's a double negative! That means you are afraid of ghosts!"
Ghostbusters is set for a July 22, 2016 release.
