Jesse Metcalfe is feeling the need for speed. The Dallas star trained at Texas Motor Speedway to prep for the March 4 episode, which features his environmentally conscious-character, Christopher, stepping up his war against cousin John Ross (Josh Henderson) by competing in a winner-takes-all car race for a lucrative methane fuel contract. "This is my favorite episode I shot all season, primarily because it's all about me," Metcalfe says with a laugh. "But also because I got to learn an entirely new skill set."

Metcalfe — who clocked 120 mph and will compete in a Toyota-sponsored celebrity event in April — says, "It's a really big deal that Christopher win, because it would mean stopping the pumping of oil at Southfork."

Off the track, Christopher's long-absent uncle, Gary Ewing (Ted Shackelford), returns to town to help Bobby (Patrick Duffy) — and the episode ends with some troubling news about J.R. (Larry Hagman). His death the following week will lead to a shocking reveal that J.R. is behind the disappearance of Chris' mother, Pam (Victoria Principal, who last played the role in 1987).

"All hell breaks loose," Metcalfe teases. "As we peel back the layers of the onion, a lot of things come to light. J.R. was attempting to set something in motion, and that involved Pam. I can't reveal more, but I'm excited about the possibility of Victoria Principal coming back to the show."
