CW Gives Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer a Full Season

CW has given a full-season order to Ringer, the noir thriller starring the Buffyalum as a twin who takes on the identity of her sister while on the run from some unsavory types.

The series opened to 2.7 million viewers, boosting The CW to its most-watched Tuesday night in two years. Week 2 dropped nearly 30 percent to 1.96 million viewers, which was followed by a slight uptick. Ringer's latest outing Tuesday night jumped to 1.72 million after plummeting to a series low 1.49 million the previous week.

Ringer is the first fall drama to get a full-season pickup. Fox's New Girl was the first comedy, followed by NBC's Up All Night and Whitney, and CBS' 2 Broke Girls.
