The Carrie Diariesand Nikitahave been renewed by The CW, TVGuide.com has learned.

Freshman drama The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to Sex and the City, drew 1.61 million and a 0.6 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic for its series premiere. The season finale dipped to 1 million and a 0.4 rating in its finale. Nikita, meanwhile, drew 1.03 million in its latest outing. Its third season, which has averaged 1.14 million viewers so far, will close on May 17.

Fall TV Scorecard: Renewed or canceled?

The two dramas join the previously renewed Beauty and the Beast, Hart of Dixie, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and Arrow. Earlier Thursday, the network gave series orders to The Tomorrow People, Reign, The 100 and Star-Crossed, while Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals was already picked up.
