The Critics' Choice Television Awards were full of surprise wins, including Silicon Valley winning Best Comedy Series.

Hosted by Cat Deeley and broadcast on A&E, awards also went to The Americans as Best Drama Series and Taraji Henson and Bob Odenkirk winning statues in their respective lead drama categories.

On the comedy side, Jeffrey Tambor won for Transparent, while Amy Schumer was named Best Actress.
