On Monday's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) decides to throw a party in an attempt to get closer to Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III). But the whole ordeal only serves to resurface a lot of Rebecca's deep-rooted childhood anxieties.

It turns out that the last time Rebecca hosted a party, barely anyone showed up, her father walked out on her family and she didn't even get to watch the boy band pay-per-view she had thrown the party to see.

But thanks to some convincing from Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin), Rebecca decides to go for it anyways. And as a way to reassure herself that this isn't a total mistake, Rebecca celebrates her decision by singing a duet with her younger self (Ava Acres) to the peppy, but fairly depressing, tune "We Have Friends."
