When Christopher Gorham was prepping for his Covert Affairs directorial debut, the crew made sure he looked the part.

"Our third [assistant director] ... on my very first scene that we directed, he brought me a baseball cap and a vest with lots of pockets," he tells TVGuide.com. "That's my directing outfit that I wore."
Gorham says he had a blast helming Tuesday's episode (10/9c, USA), which finds Annie (Piper Perabo
) racing against the clock to turn an asset and Auggie (Gorham) still attempting to confess his feelings for her. "He wants to have that conversation, but it's not a great time and it's based on the reality of what's going on in the show," he says.
