Actor Columbus Short was arrested by bounty hunters at his own album release party Tuesday night, TheWrap reports.

The Scandalalum, 32, was taken into custody as he prepared to take the stage at the Infusion Lounge in Los Angeles. The incident was a citizens arrest stemming from a dispute between Short and his bail bondsman, according to TheWrap. He was released Wednesday after posting $250,000 bail.

This isn't the first time Short has had a run-in with the law. In April 2014, he was fired from Scandal after he was charged with domestic violence and arrested multiple times for violent behavior against his then-wife.

He is also set to stand trial after pleading not guilty to felony battery charges stemming from a bar brawl in March 2014, and faces up to four years in prison in relation to that case.

In December, Short admitted in an interview that he was struggling with a cocaine addiction.
