In an arrangement touted as "unprecedented in terms of its scope and participation," all four of NBC's freshman series - Chuck, Bionic Woman, Journeyman and Life - are being made available early, starting Sept. 10, as free video-on-demand offerings via Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Charter and other major cable operators, Variety reports. The cablers' VOD services will also make available the Peacock's 30-minute fall-preview special, a two-minute trailer for Heroes, exclusive scenes from The Office and 30 Rock, as well as other featurettes. Dish Network is also making the four premieres available, while DirecTV is said to be offering a version of the NBC preview show.
