In other ratings news, the Thursday-night unveiling of Everybody Hates Chris rocked the Nielsens to the tune of 7.6 million viewers, besting Must-See TV time-slot rival Joey and, far more significantly, making it the most-watched sitcom in the history of UPN. Alas for UPN, a full 2.8 million of those samplers switched channels once fellow newcomer Love, Inc., hit their screens. Meanwhile, CBS continued its stranglehold on the night with Survivor: Guatemala (16.6 million), the sixth-season premiere of CSI (28.3 million) and the debut of Criminal Minds, which, with 19.8 million viewers, gave ER (launching its 12th season with 14.3 million) a seizure.
