Coldplay is playing the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday, so singer Chris Martin stopped by The Late Late Showto do Carpool Karaoke with host James Corden -- and paid tribute to David Bowie in the process.

Unlike other editions of Carpool Karaoke, this one has a frame story: Corden is giving Martin a ride from Los Angeles to the stadium in San Francisco. They cruise up the Pacific Coast Highway, singing Coldplay songs and Bowie's "Heroes."

"Thanks, Dave," Martin says at the end of the song.

In addition to the music, the two Englishmen discuss the rules of American Football ("if he gets it in the basket, that's nine points to the other team") and Martin shows off a dead-on Mick Jagger impression.
