Though Chris Brown's new neck tattoo shares an eerie resemblance to crime photos that were taken of his ex-girlfriend after he allegedly assaulted her, Brown's rep insists that the ink is not an image of a beaten-up Rihanna.
Brown's rep says instead that his tattoo is a combination of a sugar skull, which is associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead, and a MAC cosmetics design he saw. Brown's tattoo artist Peter Koskela echoed the rep, stating that Brown brought him the design.
"It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported," the rep said in a statement.
The news comes just days after Rihanna also got some new ink, a large tattoo of the Egyptian goddess Isis beneath her breasts, which she shared recently on Twitter.
