Judge Patricia Schnegg also issued a protective order, stating that Brown not harass, assault, threaten or even come within 100 yards of Rihanna until Aug. 25, 2014. The only exception is at industry events, where the distance is 10 yards."I'm not immune to the chatter on the airwaves," Schnegg said, referring to reports that Brown and Rihanna have been in contact. "And any violation of this protective order is a violation of this probation."Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, had previously asked the judge to ease restrictions on the order. He said in a press conference after the hearing that Rihanna, whom he said did not object to the plea terms, can request a modification of the protective order by appearing in court. Rihanna did not attend Tuesday's hearing, which was moved up from Thursday.Brown, 20, who must also pay fines, will perform hard labor in Richmond, Va., under the supervision of the city's chief of police. He will return to California every three months for a progress report. His first one is scheduled for Nov. 19, where he must bring proof of enrollment in a domestic violence program at the Commonwealth Catholic Charities and a community labor progress report.

Brown must also keep in touch with probation officials, is subject to search and seizure 24/7 for the next five years and can't be in possession of any weapons, Schnegg said.
