Burgess (Marina Squerciati) officially has a new partner on Chicago P.D.

Quanticoalum Li Jun Li is joining the NBC drama for Season 4, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Li, who played Iris Chang on Quantico, has been cast as Burgess' new partner Julie Tay. According to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news, Li has signed on as a guest star for three episodes, but may become a series regular.

Plot-wise, Julie Tay will replace Burgess' former partner/love interest Roman (Brian Geraghty), who announced his departure from the show in May. Her character will be introduced in the Season 4 premiere.

Li has already been a guest star on Chicago P.D., appearing in a Season 2 episode as a different character. Her other credits include Damages, The Followingand the Minority ReportTV series.

Chicago P.D. returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c on NBC.
