Chevy Chase Calls Community a "Mediocre Sitcom" in New Leaked Voicemail

Chevy Chase

Another Chevy Chase voicemail has leaked, and this time he's telling Community creator Dan Harmon that his show is simply not funny.

"It's just a f---ing mediocre sitcom!" Chase, who plays plays Pierce Hawthorne on the NBC series, yells in the audio obtained by Celebuzz. "I want people to laugh and this isn't funny."

In the voicemail, which was reportedly left a year ago, Chase also tells Harmon, "There's a disconnect somewhere either between what is actually shot and the humor on the set when we shoot it... I don't know who's doing the editing and making the choices that count the most, but I will say this: The other part of the disconnect is that obviously you don't get my humor at all." Harmon hardly says a word in the recording.

Last month, Harmon played a fiery message that Chase left him for an audience at his standup show, which then got leaked. Harmon apologized last week, saying, "I made the horrible, childish, self-obsessed, unaware, naive and unprofessional decision to play someone's voicemail to me... That was a dumb, unclassy, inconsiderate move on my part. I'm very sorry it's reflecting poorly on the show."

A rep for Chase declined to comment to Celebuzz on the new leaked message.
