There's more drama for Community. Production on the NBC sitcom was briefly shut down Friday after Chevy Chase dropped the N-word on set, TVLine reports.
According to the site, Chase has become increasingly frustrated with the direction of his character, bigot Pierce Hawthorne. The actor reportedly snapped over new dialogue and said the racial slur.

Though his African-American co-stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover were with him at the time, the epithet wasn't directed at either actor or at any person in particular, according to the report. Nevertheless, production was temporarily halted until Chase formally apologized to the cast and crew.Chase is known for his hot temper on the Community set. Last year, he publicly clashed with creator and former showrunner Dan Harmon, which resulted in a profanity-laced voicemail from Chase being leaked. More recently, the Saturday Night Livealum said that joining the quirky comedy was a "big mistake."Community's fourth season was supposed to premiere the same day as Chase's latest outburst, but NBC delayed the show's return last week and has yet to reschedule it.
