Tony winner and former Daisies pusher Kristin Chenoweth has landed the lead in Twelve Men of Christmas, a Lifetime original movie to premiere in December, as part of the cabler's "Fa La La La Lifetime" holiday event.

"Kristin Chenoweth is a force of nature with a unique charm, wit and warmth that make her the perfect choice," Lifetime senior VP of original programming Tanya Lopez says of the casting.

Based on Decent Exposure, a novel by Phillipa Ashley, Twelve Men finds Chenoweth playing a PR maven who loses her high-powered job and her fiancé on the same night, at her office holiday party. She then slinks away to Montana, where she cooks up the idea to market a small town's home-bred beefcake via a calendar. Hilarity and comedic romance ensues.

Although Chenoweth's David E. Kelley pilot didn't get picked up by NBC, her fans still have much to anticipate. ABC is airing the acclaimed-yet-undersampled Pushing Daisies' final three episodes starting this Saturday at 10 pm/ET, and the actress/songstress can be seen on Fox's Glee this fall. Chenoweth guest-stars in the fourth episode following the already sneak-peeked pilot, and sources say her role could become a recurring one.
