Renowned chef Charlie Trotter was found dead on Tuesday, The Chicago Tribune reports He was 54.

Trotter was found unconscious in his Chicago home by his son Dylan. After being rushed to the hospital, Trotter was pronounced dead. The cause of death is still unclear, but a source told the Tribune that there were no preliminary signs of foul play.

In the '90s, Trotter hosted the PBS cooking show The Kitchen Sessions with Charlie Trotter. During his career, he published 14 cookbooks. His eponymous restaurant was one of three in Chicago to be awarded two stars by the Michelin Guide.

Trotter is survived by his son and wife Rochelle.
