Hosting for the first time in more than a quarter-century, Jeff Bridges gave it his all, from his sweet duet with Cookie Monster (another successful Facebooking!) on "Silver Bells" to his dead-on impression of Dog the Bounty Hunter in a Larry King Live spoof that was much funnier than Fred Armisen's bizarre appearance on King's actual CNN sendoff.
Andy Samberg scored with "I Just Had Sex," a "D--- in a Box"-worthy rap with fellow Lonely Islander Jorma Taccone (not to mention Akon, Blake Lively and Jessica Alba), while musical guests Eminem and Lil Wayne tore down the house. And "Weekend Update" concluded with three not-so-wise men — Gov. David Patterson (Armisen), breakout club kid Stefon (the brilliant Bill Hader) and Snooki (a hysterical Bobby Moynihan) — to rival the classic SNL trio of Tarzan, Tonto and Frankenstein. All the episode lacked was Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, Horatio Sanz and Chris Kattan doing "I Wish It Was Christmas Today."
Did SNL's Christmas episode leave you in a jolly mood?
