What more could you want from Monday's episode of Late Show? Republican contender Mitt Romney delivered the "Top 10 Things Mitt Romney Would Like to Say to the American People," including "Isn't it time for a President who looks like a 1970's game-show host?" "Newt Gingrich? Really?" and "It's a hairpiece." Still, Letterman got the best line, teasing the preppy presidential wannabe, "How'd you do on the back nine?"

Then Tom Cruise, on his best behavior (read: no couch jumping), promoted Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. What was his biggest safety concern climbing up the side of the world's tallest building in Dubai? Deadpanned Cruise, "Falling." Letterman also paid a poignant tribute to his makeup artist for the past 20 years, Michelle O'Callaghan, who passed away after a yearlong battle with cancer. And Anthony Hamilton closed the show with his soulful new single. Laughs, tears, tunes — Ed Sullivan would've been proud.

What did you think of last night's Late Show?
