Charlie Sheen will play the President of the United States in Robert Rodriguez's upcoming sequel to Machete.

"I just cast Charlie Sheen in [Machete Kills] as the President of the United States! Who better?" Rodriguez tweeted Thursday night, including a picture of himself and the former Two and a Half Men star. No word yet on whether Sheen's character will be a Democrat or a Republican.
Sheen will next be seen in his new FX sitcom, Anger Management, which premieres Thursday at 9/8c.
Scheduled to hit theaters in 2013, Machete Kills also stars Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara and Mel Gibson.
