Celebrity Wife Swap Sneak Peek: Andy Dick and Lorenzo Lamas Trade Off

Sunday's episode of Celebrity Wife Swap (8/7c, ABC) features actor Lorenzo Lamas and comedian Andy Dick trading lady loves. Lamas' wife, Shawna Craig, goes to live with Dick, while Dick's former girlfriend and mother of his children, Lena Sved, moves in with Lamas and his three daughters.

Complicating matters is the fact that Dick has a new girlfriend named Jennifer, and the couple live in an Airstream trailer in the driveway of his and Sved's home.

Lamas tells TVGuide.com that he signed up for the show so that he could show viewers that he, his wife and his three daughters defy the celebrity family stereotype. "I'm proud of my kids, and I want to show the folks out there that every Hollywood family isn't completely dysfunctional," he says. "We're just kind of this loving and supportive family that I think might go against what a normal person would assume to be the standard for Hollywood families."

But it was only after he agreed to participate that he knew he would be paired up with Andy Dick.

"Knowing what I knew about Andy, I was a little concerned about my wife going over there to his place," Lamas admits, referring to the comedian's past drug use and legal troubles. "But I saw Andy on Dancing with the Stars this last season, and I was sort of surprised by his humility, and the obvious love that he has for his daughter Megan. And I remembered that, and it kind of tempered my anxiety a little bit."

Without giving away too many details about what ensued over the course of a week, Lamas — who is planning to live-tweet the episode during its West Coast airing on Sunday — says he was "pleasantly surprised" with the outcome of their experiment. And as for his and Shauna's marriage? "I think this challenge has fortified our relationship," he says. "I think we both came away from it appreciating each other perhaps a bit more."
