In the pilot, the Arrested Developmentstar will play Jack, a recently divorced guy whose life gets more complicated when his parents have marital problems of their own. Raising Hope's Garcia will write and executive-produce.
So what does this mean for the troubled Up All Night? NBC declined to comment on what Arnett's casting means for the fate of the series — the Garcia project is in second position to Up All Night — though reports say the network is considering scrapping it in the wake of star Christina Applegate's departure and news that Maya Rudolph is pregnant.
