CBS has landed Eddie Murphy and Shawn Ryan's Beverly Hills Cop TV series, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Eddie Murphy teaming with The Shield creator for Beverly Hills Cop TV show
The network has given a pilot production commitment to show, which will be a sequel to the movie trilogy about Detective Alex Foley (Murphy), focusing on Foley's son Aaron, also a police officer in Beverly Hills. As previously reported, Murphy and Ryan (The Shield) will executive-produce, and Murphy will reprise his role as Foley in the pilot.
Murphy has been trying to get a Beverly Hills Cop TV series produced ever since a planned fourth movie fell through.
