CBS has ordered additional episodes of Flashpoint, a network rep confirms to TVGuide.com.
CBS, which has six unaired Season 3 episodes already in the can, has ordered 7 additional hours, which will run as a 13-episode season this summer, according to Deadline, which first reported the news.
The new episodes will be produced as part of a larger syndication deal that will allow the Canadian-produced show to air on both CBS and ION in the United States. While CBS will air only seven of the 18 new episodes being produced by Canada's CTV, the additional hours will eventually be seen on ION, which also has the rights to all 51 previously aired episodes.
