CBS is taking a walk on the canine side with a new reality show from CSIexecutive producer Carol Mendelsohn.

Dogs in the City, premiering Wednesday, May 30 at 8/7c, will follow well-known New York City dog guru Justin Silver as he tries to solve issues between dogs and their masters. Such problems include a woman hoping to move in with her significant other but who is scared of his golden retriever to a newly divorced couple whose dog is having trouble adjusting to the new lifestyle.

"Dogs are at the center of the story here, but this is a show that reveals as much about human nature as man's best friend," Mendelsohn said in a statement.  "Dogs are often a lightning rod for their owners' emotions and dysfunction at home.  Justin has an amazing gift to break down these complex issues with incredible heart, humor and, sometimes, much-needed candor."

Silver, a dog trainer, behaviorist and owner of a pet care company, has been helping dogs and their owners for more than a decade.

Julie Weitz, Jen O'Connell and Nick Emerson  will also serve as executive producers on the reality series. Gerry Greengrass will co-executive-produce.
