CBS and ABC were happy  and fit to be tied, literally  as the rival nets emerged from November sweeps in a virtual dead heat. The Eye and the Alphabet network (which boasted its best sweeps showing since Feb. 2001) each drew a 4.4 rating in the critical adults 18-to-49 demo, although CBS drew 25 percent more total viewers (an average of 14.6 million vs. 11.7 mil). NBC, meanwhile, was down 18 percent in the 18-to-49 demo, yet bested Fox for third place.
