Tila Tequila called police to her Los Angeles home following a clash with Casey Johnson's friends, Nicky Hilton and Bijou Phillips, when they came to retrieve Johnson's dogs and belongings on the family's behalf, E! News reports.
Refusing to hand over Johnson's animals, the Shot at Love star called authorities who later arrived at Tequila's home Wednesday. A police department spokesperson told E! that a "verbal dispute" had taken place.
According to E!, once a resolution was reached, Hilton and Phillips packed up Johnson's clothing, bathroom products, packages of insulin and two small dogs that were in Tequila's home.
After Hilton and Phillips finished packing their car with Johnson's belongings, a distraught Tequila told paparazzi, "They don't care about the dogs. They are putting them to sleep to bury with Casey." But when asked if there was any truth to Tequila's statement, Phillips denied that the animals would be put down.
"It's been quite hard because it's all of them against me," Tequila said after Hilton and Phillips drove off. "And I feel everybody needs someone to blame and they want to blame someone, and they blame me."
Johnson, the purported fiancée of Tequila, was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Monday. The cause of death of the 30-year-old Johnson & Johnson heiress has yet to be determined — pending a toxicology report — but authorities said the cause of death appeared to be natural.
