Carson Daly has joined the Today show, NBC announced Thursday.
Daly will be the new host of the Orange Room, the bridge between Todayand its audience. Using new media and digital technology, the Orange Room and Daly will help viewers connect to the show like never before.

"Carson is the perfect fit for this exciting new role. He's passionate about being on the forefront of new media, and has distinguished himself as a socially savvy broadcaster with a unique ability to engage audiences."
Hoda Kotb shared her excitement at Daly joining the Today team, tweeting, "Sooo excited you party animal!"
Daly will continue to host The Voice, which premieres Monday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c on NBC, as well as executive-produce Last Call with transition plans to be announced later.
