Carly Rae Jepsen, the singer famous for her hit single "Call Me Maybe," will make her Broadway debut in the title role of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella beginning Feb. 4, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The songstress will replace exiting leading lady and Tony nominee Laura Osnes for a 12-week run. Jepsen follows the likes of Julie Andrews, Lesley Ann Warren, Drew Barrymore and Hilary Duff, all of whom have played versions of Cinderella in movies or on TV.
"Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale," Jepsen said.
Jepsen, who is working on a new album, will be joined by Cinderella newcomer Fran Drescher, who will also make her debut on Feb. 4 as Cinderella's stepmother.
