Cameron Diaz Says "Shrek No!" to Broadway

Cameron Diaz

Being Princess Fiona for the big screen is enough for Cameron Diaz.

Although she is a fan of the Broadway adaptation of Shrek, Diaz has "absolutely" no desire to reprise the role she originated on screen.

"What they do up there ... is, to me, impossible," she told The Associated Press. "It's wonderful, though. They've done such a great job. They worked really hard, and it really pays off."

Tony winner Sutton Foster portrays Fiona in Broadway Theatre's Shrek the Musical, which officially opened Sunday night.

"It's hilarious," Diaz said of the show. "There's so many laughs. ... It's great to see all the actors playing it together, because when we do it for the animated [films], we never see each other. We don't work together."

While the actress isn't itching to get on the Great White Way, Diaz will get behind the microphone again to voice Fiona for the fourth Shrek film, slated for a 2010 release.
