Some people are "hopping" mad about two of Budweiser's Super Bowl spots, claiming that they were not brewery-fresh but appropriated from other sources. According to the New York Post, the comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U'Know claims that Bud Light's fist-bumping/face-slapping ad is similar to their sketch "The New Thing," posted on the group's website, while Sierra Mist says that Bud's rock-paper-scissors riff ripped off a two-year-old ad for the soft drink.

A rep for the brewer scoffed at the Post's reportage, then offered to get back to them with a comment - but didn't.

UPDATE: Another interesting Super Bowl tidbit per the Post: David Letterman originally tried to get Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell to appear in his ad, but when Trump said no, Dave went for the Oprah cuddle.
