Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted debuted at No. 1 in the weekend's box office, with an impressive $60.4 million, according to Box Office Mojo. Featuring the voices of David Schwimmer, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller and Jada Pinkett Smith, the computer-animated comedy upset its competitor, Prometheus, which netted $50 million in its opening weekend. The sci-fi film, starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender, was directed by Ridley Scott, and written by Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof.

Despite its strong debut last weekend, Snow White and the Huntsman dropped to No. 3 with just $23 million this weekend, down from $56.2 million.
