Insurgent topped the box office in its opening weekend, raking in $54 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
The Divergent sequel bumped Cinderella to the No. 2 spot, which earned $34.5 million. The Liam Neeson action movie Run All Night slipped more than 50 percent, grossing $5.1 million. However, it still managed to beat The Gunman's opening weekend revenue, which barely hit $5 million.
March Madness: The best angry coach faces
At No. 5 was Kingsman, with $4.6 million, followed by the debut of Do You Believe? with $4 million. The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel came in seventh with $3.5 million, followed byFocus ($3.3 million), Chappie ($2.7 million) and The SpongeBob Movie ($2.4 million).
