The Amazing Spider-Man fell to second place with a total of $35 million. The comic book movie was expected to pass $200 million on Sunday.
At No. 3, Ted nabbed another $22.1 million. Another animated film, Brave, ranked fourth with $10.7 million. Magic Mike took fifth place, collecting $9 million.
Rounding out the top 10: Savages (No. 6, $8.7 million), Madea's Witness Protection (No. 7, $5.6 million), Katy Perry: Part of Me (No. 8, $3.7 million), Moonrise Kingdom (No. 9, $3.6 million) and Madagascar 3 (No. 10, $3.5 million).
